(By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) SIXTY FEET FALL. CHRISTCHURCH, Sept, 8. Frank Shnckleton. who has been missing from the Ashburton Old Aleh’s Homo for some time, fell down a sixty loot ciifi face at Sumner this afternoon. He was picked up unconscious, taken to a doctor, and then to Christcmirch hospital. His injuries are very serious.

BLACKWELL INQUEST. AUCKLAXD, Sept. 8. The inquest regarding the deaths of Afary Alinnie Blackwell, aged 3G. and her daughters, AFajorie Doreen Blackwell, aged 14, and Muriel Mercia Blackwell, aged 11, victims of the poisoning tragedy at Karakn on Tuesday afternoon, was formally opened to-day. Evidence of identification was given by Herbert John Blackwell, husband of Airs Blackwell, and father of the two girls, and the inquest was then adjourned sine die. The funeral of the victims will be held tomorrow.

AIR MISSION'S VERDICT OX X.Z. CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 8. This morning Group Captain Fellowes, of the Imperial Airways Arises ion, made a survey by aeroplane of the country between Christchurch and Timani. This; afternoon Captain FelImves said Xew Zealand was a “perfect aerodrome.” The landing conditions were excellent everywhere, and Canterbury presented an excellent area for a second base. He could say nothing definite until the Mission’s report was forwarded to the Government.
