(Australirn & N.Z. Cable Association.) DANGER OF WAR ON SOVIET. LONDON, September 5. The Riga correspondent of the Times states that in connection with tho Edinburgh Conference, the Central organisation of the Red Trade Unions at Moscow have summoned an extraordinary plenary session of all the available members. At. Dogadolf, in his address, was particularly bitter about the unwillingness of the British T.U. General Council to see eye to eye with Moscow concerning the anti-Soviet war danger, anil t-o help to rouse the world to this impending calamity. The assembly telegraphed to the Edinburgh Congress condemning the Trade Union leaders, and describing even Messrs Purcell and Hicks as being traitors, and as being Mr J. H. Thomas’s assistants.
M. URIAND’S VIEW. PARIS, September 0. Considerable pressure is being exercised to demand M. Radovskv’s recall as Soviet Minister to France. The French Cabinet discussed the matter on Saturday. M. Rriand, in an interview at Geneva, intimated, however that he was satisfied with M. Tchitc repudiation. He was content to leave the matter of M. Rakovsky’s recall to the Soviet Government. TROOPS FIRED ON. RIGA September 2. Additional arrests were made last night. The Soviet Chief of Police alleges that lie discovered a- great anti-Bol-shevik movement by armed terrorists from Latvia and Finland. One party fired on the troops killing one. There is ih.-> usual story that the raiders were directly eonnepted with English and Finnish organisations.
