WATAROA NOTES
(From A Correspondent.) Tho Wataroa seven-a-sid© football team journeyed to Harihari on August 28th, and proved victorious by 5 points to 3 after a fast game in which forward play predominated. The only try for tho local lads was scored by F. Schroder who played a great game throughout. His ability of receiving and giving passes ranks him as one of the most promising wing men in tho district. Another player worthy of mention is .T. "Walsh who converted tho' try. Jack would he a credit to any senior team, being always dangerous. For Harihari E. Glass scored a goal try, being Harihari’s best hack. Mr R. McMillan ably controlled the game. A return match will be played in the near future in order to give Harihari a chance of regaining the much coveted “Ashes.”
Good progress is being made with Dry Creek bridge, the approaches to the bridge being completed on Fridaylast.
