WEDDING BELLS
ROBERTS—DALE. A wedding which created a great deal of interest was .solemnised at St. Alary’s Church Hokitika on Wednesday August 31 s£ at 10. a.m. when Alary Agnes eldest daughter of Air and Mrs Edwprd Pai'e of Hokitika was united to Thomas eldest son of Airs and the late Air Roberts of AVaitahu Reefton.
The bride who entered the church ;n the arm of her father was beautifully gowned in a frock of ivory matador dnintly trimmed with tiny rose buds and panel* of silk lace. -An artistically, embroidered veil of silk was tastefully held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms, white brocaded shoes and silk stockings being also worn. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses and maiden hair fern, aso an ivory bound prayer book with hand painted satin streamers the gift of the Sisters of Alercy Hokitika. The bride was attended by her sis-
ters Esther nnd Edna ; the former wearing a Crock of sunset pink crepe de chine, the latter wistaria crepe de chine, both frocks being daintly pin tucked and trimmed with bands of insertion and guipure lace they also wore pretty crinoline hats to tone and carried shower bouquets toning with the frocks. Tlie bridegroom was attended by Mr R. Gallagher as best man and Mr F. Robinson as groomsman. After the marriage ceremony which was preformed by the Rev. Father Finerty. Nuptial Mass was celebrated. Miss Lucy Dale, sister of the bride, presided at the organ rendering appropriate music during the mass, and as the bridal party left the church the wedding march was played.
Subsequently Mr and Mrs Dale entertained their relations and immediate friends at Preston’s Tea Room. Rev Father Finnerty presiding. Later in the day Mr and Mrs Roberts left by car for Greymouth en route to Dunedin where the honeymoon Is to be spent. The bride travelled in new blue with repp coat and hat to fo match and a beautiful set of Fox Furs. Numerous presents and congratulatory telegrams were received testifying to the popularity of the newly married couple. Mr and Mrs Roberts future honft? will be in Waitahu, Reefton.
