HOSPITAL BALL

THE JUVENILE’S NIGHT OUT. Tho juvenile night in connection with the annual Hospital Ball last evening was easily the biggest success of a long series of successes. Tho attendance was very, large some 400 adults and juveniles lxdng accommodated for supper of which there was a plentiful supply. The large hall was a continual hum throughout the evening. There was a large number of fancy dresses and the scene was a brilliant one, the judges having considerable difficulty in the final selections though the results when announced were most favourably received. Tlie supper arrangements were most complete and tho ladies deserve a special vote of thanks for their good work. Capital music was supplied by tlie Black Hand Orchestra while Messrs J. J. (Breeze and H. Davidson bad charge of the dancing and kept the children busily occupied until the supper hour. Tlie gathering was a great success in every way and tlie financial result should prove very satisfactory. Tho following are the judges awards in connection with the fancy costumes : Tiny tots—lst “Bumble Bee,” C. Lewis ; 2nd, “Bon Bon,” Jean Park; 3rd. “Russian Lady,” N. Duncan. Consolation prizes—“ Choir Girls,” OnSisters; “White Cat,” Master Spnrkes; “Jingle Bells,” Masters J. Ross and J. Stuart; “Chrysanthemum.” Ruby Kearns; “Pansy.” Moira Moynihan; “Pineapple,” N. Heennn ; “Rose Bud,” Juno Chetwynd; “Jack and Jill,” R. and C. Kilciillen. Best dressed girl—‘lst. “Cigar, E. Randall; 2nd “Indian Squaw.” Mary Hart; 3rd, “Indian Bravo,” Novie Guthrie. Consolation prizes—“ Folly.” Jbvoo Shannon; “Bride,” Doreen JCerr: “Dutch Girl.” Norah Park : “Fairy,” Valerio Nightingale. P.cst it rested hoy—lst, ‘“Bridegroom,” E.
