PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE
BUSINESS IN JULY
The following particulars of the loan transactions of the Public Trust Office and new business reported during the month ended 31st July, 1927, have been supplied by the Right Hon. the Prime Minister.
The amount jmid out in settlement of new loans was £222,257, making total of new loans granted since Ist April la.st of £881.505. Additional new loans were granted lo the amount of (.'107.T19, making the total new loans on hand awaiting completion £002,005, while loans offered being less than the full advances applied for amount to £IBB,BB5 —a grand total of £751.578.
Applications for further loans amounting to £'154,508 are receiving consideration. New business during the month was exceedingly satisfactory. The value of the estates accepted for administration was £603,237, making a total of new business since Ist April last of £2,071.461—an average of over half a million a month. Additional new wills deposited for safe custody numbered 510. and the total now bold is 55,027.
