WHEN NEIGHBOURS QUARREL.
(To the Editor.)
Sir—Please allow me further space in your paper. In your issue of the 26th. Air Herbert Boddington replies to “Profundity” denying that be now, or at any time, wrote anonymous matter of any description to tho AA’e.stland County C’oaneil. Tho writer o-f this letter is only too pleased to give K. Boddington credit for the above statement—and just here I might mention that IT. Boddington accuses “Profundity” of being guilty of the following unwarranted, untruthful and cowardly remarks. Of course Air Boddington could not be guilty of any of the al>ovo words, I don’t think ! AA’ell, Air Boddington. how was it that when you were at the last- AA’inter Show meeting when some remark was levelled at you. you retorted back to Air Cron (Chairman), that you know where bo (tbe Chairman) got his information from ? Your reply was Shingles, only to find that you had spoken an untruth. Cowardly, do you know the moaning of it? Again, how was it that at a Farmers' Union meeting, you could not wait until you went inside, lint told all and sundry that Shingles cows were always on the road? Now, prior to your remarks, iny cows had not been on flu- road for close on Three months. Now I emphatically give thn.-e remarks the lie. Un-truthful-Do you know the meaning of it? Air Herbert Boddington. You will no doubt remember at a. factory meeting bold in the Koiteruimi Hall, the question arose when Air ]> . TTeshui, at that time a Kokatahi director, retired, who filled the position? Air Tinas. O’Neil. You immediately replied r Oh. another Irishman ! The venom could be seen unwarranted. Do yon know tbe meaning of it ? As for gross narrow-mindedness you stand alone. Air Herbert Brddiiigton reminds me of the little b >v when he arrived home was met l>v the mir.-.o am’ informed that his mother had a little I iby. The little fellow started crying. Nurse said : Tt’s all right, don’t cry. No it isn’t, said the liny. I always get blamed for everything ! T am etc.. H. SHINGLES. Koiterangi, Aug. 29th. 1927.
