FOOTBALL
The Canterbury footballcis arrived last- evenim; and were met on arrival bv .Mr McGregor (President) and members of the Westland Sub-Union. Mr Alr(»regor in a few well chosen words v.eliomcd the visitors and hoped that their visit would lie a very enjoyable one. Mr Dunne, manager of the Canterbury team suitably replied and cheers were given by the large gathering preseut. This afternoon the visitors spent a very enjoyable outing at hake Kanieri returning about t o’clock, all being high in their praise of this magnificent scenic gem. To-morrow night they are being entertained at. a dinner and later will bo the guests of the Excelsior Club at tneir dance in the Soldiers' Hall.
