Jn the Press Conference, Holtz- of the Australian Press Association, Melbourne, moved in favour of the elimination <?i Government terminal charges on incoming cable messages. Jle pointed out the charges dated from the time when the Government handled the message, hut they have been continued even alien no service was rendered The resolution was carried without dissent; also Holtz’s further motion demanding wireless press rates should be reduced in accordance with the lower cost of wireless than cable transmission. . One-hundred-and-fifty chief supporters of Pangalos were deported to an Island in Cyclades as dangers to the public by order of tbe Foreign Affairs Committee, who rejected a treaty of friendship with Jugo-Slavia made by Pangalos. on the grounds that it impaired the national sovereignty.
