THE TEXAS STREAK ” FRIDAY
Edward Newman, one of the foremost cinematographic experts in the motion picture industry, is responsible for the splendid pictorial effects to be found in 1 lie lexas Streak,” tlie UniversalJewel, starring Hoot Gibson, which will be the feature attraction at the J iineess theatre on Friday. A great deai ol interest was manifested in tiic photographic results obtained by .Newman on " the I exas Streak” because of tlie technical experiment he performed during the making of the picture. Jhe whole production was photographed by panchromatic film, a highly sensitive type of film generally used in shooting of difficult scenes of brilliant colours and strong light. Panchromatic is much more sensitive than the ordinary variety of film, and requires an expert cinematographer to get the proper results, but, a much better quality of photography is possible when it is utilized correctly. It is i'ikely that all pictures may be photographed with this type of film in the future, according to the theories of Universal photographic experts. ” The Texas Streak ” was written and directed by Lynn .Reynolds and the east supporting Gibson includes Blanche .Mehaffey, Alan Roscoe, James Marcus, Jack Curtis .“ Slim ” Summerville, .Jack Murphy. William H. ’turner and others. A good supporting series will also Tie ; shown, including “ The Radio T)etec- I five ” (serial), the latest in topical’s i and a good coinedv. i
