The question of timber royalties was again before the Grey County Council on Thursday last. The County Clerk stated that threequarters of the Company’s timber leases were on mining reserves, which now were State Forestry reserves, and the 'Council roceiml only one-tenth instead of the whole royalty. On the motion of Cr. .T. Ryall. it was resoiYed to ask the AYestland County Council to co-operate with the Grey County in securing the amendments to the Forestry Act.
