AKAHURA FAT STOCK SALI
The entry for yesterday’s fixture at the above yards comprised 51 fat cattle and 132 fat, sheep. Competition was keen from the outset of the sale and prices were distinctly linn while the quality of the"entry was excellent. Ox l,eef made from 50s to 42s per hundred, heifer heel' to 455. cow heef from 28s to 35s per hundred. Messrs AY. Jeffries and Co sold as follows:—22 fat sheep for D. J. At the usual fortnightly sale at the above, yards yesterday our entry consisted of 41) head of fat cattle which wore submitted to a good attendance of buyers. Competition -was very keen for all well-finished lines and nr ices realised were much firmer than at the 'previous sale. Best ox href averaged 40s per hundred, good heifer beef from 35s to 3Ss, and row heef from 30s to 355. We sold as follows : —On necrunt of H.
