ST ANDREW’S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

Tin' annual meeting of the eongregation oi the Presbyterian Clmreli was field in St. Andrew’s Hail on Wednesday evening. 1 lie Hov, >l. AN. Hayward presided and there was a good attendance of members and adherents of tile church. Reports of the various departments were presented and all these showed signs of progress; and the accounts in connection with all of them showed credit balances. The following' reports were received: Session report. Air Volley; managers, Air J. King; Treasurer's, Air 'Urquhnrt.Sunday Seiiool, Air Janies Park; Y.AV.B.C. .Miss Aladge King; Scots Memorial,-Mr A. JL King; P.W.Af.U., Mrs Preston ; Ladies’ Guild, -Mrs McCarthy; choir. Air Hayward. The membership on the church roll was 117. Eighteen members had been received into the church during the year, six had died, and five had removed front the district. The income had been £5lO and the expenditure £193. leaving a-credit balance of £l7. The meeting considered two mat-' ters that had been referred to it by the managers; viz., to. increase the minister’s stipend, and to have the telephone put in at the manse. The .Minister thanked the people for their cordial support in the various activities of the church, especially for the loyal and valuable work of the ladies. Special thanks were accorded Miss Phyi'lis Thompson and Air Henry .Blank for their services as organists. The following were elected on a committee of management: Messrs AY. Wilson. S. AA 7 Qods, J. King, A. B. King. 11. Stevenson, AA T . Goodfellow, L. Gooch, S. J. Preston, AV. Urquhart and F. Orr. During the evening the choir rendered three anthems “Lift up Your Head,” “Jerusalem,” and “Parting Song.” Recitations were given by Jpv and Tom AA'ard, a pianoforte solo by Miss ATona Robinson, duet by Air and Airs Simpson, and a song by Al.r Conning. Supper was provided by the ladies and the proceedings closed by the singing of the National Anthem.
