WELLINGTON, Aug. 16. ~ Clarke AleConaehy. playing J. Besnnt. an Auckland professional, a friendly game of 500, on a 200 break, made a break of 426 in 20 minutes, timed by Albert Cohen, which is believed to be a world’s record for quick scoring without nursery cannons, the previous best being 500 in 21 minutes, which included nursery cannons, the quickest method of scoring. McConaehy’s break was made wholly at the top of the table.
