FORMER SOLICITOR IN COURT.

AUCKLAND, Aug. Ki. A former Auckland solicitor, Jas. Lockwood Brady, was charged at the l’olice Court for being idle and disorderly and without means of support, and stealing four books valued at £3 the property of the Auckland City Council, and an overcoat the property of E. W. Buckingham. Regarding tne latter charge, evidence was given that the coat was left in the office where accused worked, and that he was returning it when arrested.
