BRISBANE. Aug. 15
An explosion at mid-night on Saturday wrecked the office of the Criminal Investigation Department. Elizabeth Street, with tremendous force, and strewed the streets in the vicinity with sheets of iron and masonry. Luckily, no one was injured. Tile cause of the explosion is a mystery but the origin is supposed to have been the quantity of explosives stored in the premises. UNION OF LABOUR INTERESTS. MELBOURNE, Aug. 15.
