EVERYBODYS 5 PICTURES

MONEY TALKS,” TO-NIGHT.

Clean comedy and exciting adventures on sea and land provide excellent entertainment as features of " A Toney lalks.” the new Aletro-Goldwyn-Afiiyer picture coming to the Princess Theatre to-night. It is a picturisation of a story hv Rupert Hughes, the brilliant author of “ Excuse Me.” and “Don’t.” from which this company made two delightful' pictures. Claire Windsor and Owen Moore are in the leading roles of this picture, which depicts the laughable experiences of a likeable spendtbrilt who was faced with a wifeless! home unLil he had retrieved the family fortunes. She had grown tired of his eternal promises, none of which ever bore fruit, and issued an ultimatum by “ going home to mother.” The husband conceives a brilliant scheme of converting an island into a sanatorium, and charters an ocean-going yacht to help with the idea. Once outside the twelve-mile limit they are captured by rum-runners. The manner in which they escape this peril and the mirthprovoking episodes that follow, bring a really unusual picture to a hysterical climax. It was directed hv Archie Mayo, and as his first production for this company, it augurs well for his I uture success. Owen Moore essays a. new type of role, and scores a decided hit. As a penniless spendthrift, who is none the less likeable for this failing, ho gives the best performance of his career, and his impersonation of a lady doctor is a prefect riot of mirth. Claire Windsor enacts her role with great charm, and Bert Roach contributes more of his great humorous work. The supports in to-night programme are screen snapshots, scenic, and a comedy.
