VALEDICTORY.

A very pleasant function took place in St. Mary's Club on Thuj'sday evening when the Parishioners met to farewell Aliss Dale on the eve of her marriage. The proceedings opened with a short euchre tournament the prizes being nun by Airs T. Stopforili and Mr Saunders, consolation prizes going to Miss Groufsky and Air Scott. A musical programme billowed, songs were given by Misses Giese, Gillooly, Dale, and Messrs Saunders and Hatch and a pianoforte solo by Aliss Luev Dale. Her. Father. Fincrty on behalf ot the Parishioners, in presenting Miss Dale with a full aluminium kitchen : outfit referred to her many sterling I qualities and her ready response at all times in connection with parish work and wished her many years of wedded happiness. He then called on AD-s Beattie Stephens, who on behalf of the Society of tht? Children ot Mary presented Aliss Dale with a beautiful statue of Our Lady. Air Saunders (on behalf of Air Dale v. ho was absent through illness) thanked all for their handsome gifts and assured them Aliss Dale would ever remember the many friends she had in St. Alary’s. Supper was then served alter which dancing was indulged in until midnight, The music being supplied hv Mjss.es Giese and L. Dale. Air Bleach acting as Af.G. The singing of Auld Lang Svno by the assemblage brought a very enjoyable evening to a close.
