WEDDING BELLS

DELANEY—KIKAVAX. A pretty wedding in which one of the contracting parties was a Hokitikiau was on July 30th. solemnised in ■Wellington at St. Anne’s Church, Newtown, when -Miss Alary Kinvan, only daughter of Air and Airs Peter Kirwan, of Sewell St., Hokitika, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Air "William James Delaney, second son of Air and Airs J. Delaney, of Lower llutt, Wellington. The bride, who entered’ the church on the arm of Air J. D. Brosnahan (her cousin’s husband), looked charming in a French frock of lemon ciepe-de-chine, wearing a teagle hut to match, and carrying a beautiful bouquet of spring flowers the gift of the bridegroom’s mother. The bridesmaid. Aliss Beattie Delaney, sister of the bridegroom, was attired in a French frock of powder,l,luo crepe do chine, with a teagle hat to match, and carried a sweet bouquet of spring flowers. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, All Aithur Delaney as best man. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. lather Kelly, Pnrisii Priest, of Newtown. The wedding breakfast was held at Airs P. Ryan’s Afetropolitaii Hotel, the toast of the happy couple being honoured with enthusiasm, and on their leavingLipoit their honeymoon tour, they were honoured with a cordial send-off, there being numerous expressions of goodwill and other tiibutes to their popularity. Afr and Airs Delaney travelled t'> the t\est Coast, where they are at present the guests * of the bride’s parents, and before returning to Lower Hutt, AAellington, to take up their residence, they propose visiting the glacial scenic attractions of South Westland at the AVnilio; whilst at Ross they will he the guests of Mr and Afrs F. N. Carter.
