PAR-IS SNAKE HUNT
PARIS, dune 1-. Early yesterday morning M. l.evassor a resident in the fashionable Porte Maillot quarter of Paris, taking his meriting walk, was astonished f > see a large snake on the pavement rearing its head towards hint. He killed the reptile with his cane ami took the i ly to a police station. A few minutes later tut vs ’itca housemaid rushed into the same .station and said that she was being chased l-y a serpent. A policeman win went to inquire found another snake roaming about, the road and killed it with a truncheon. Other snakes were found and killed during the morning. Inquiries showed that the reptiles all oi which were harmless had escaped from the house of M. Aimo A form an animal painter where they were the pets of his son.
