CLEAN TROTTING. CIIRISTCHUR’CH, Aug. 10

“I am pleased to say that there have been no recent cases in New Zealand of fraudulent pit rc.t ices. such as occurred some years ago. 'I here was no foundation for the circulation of reports of cases of alleged “ringing-in.” stated the President of tin* Board of New Zealand Trotting Association (Mr C. .1. H. NVillams) in bis report to the annual meeting last night. The report stated there still appeared to be present in the minds of some people the fear of a recurrence of what was termed “ringing in. ’ It was <1 no inn i nly to the feeling that a number of reports were in circulation in the past season. a.II of which had been fully inquired into. For the most jut ft this has entailed much inquiry and expense, continued the report, and it is pleasing to find that there was no foitiKUation lor the circulation of the reports.
