(Bv Telegraph—Per Press Association.) THE HOUSE. WELLIXGTOX. Aug. I. The House met at 2.30 p.in. Local Bills concerning Lower Hntt and Xapier were introduced and react tile first time. The Whnkatane County Council’ Empowering and Loan Moneys Diversion Pill was passed through all stages. The Agricultural Bank Bill, introduced hv Mr Veitcli, was ruled out of order by the Speaker on the ground j that it contained an appropriation clause. The evening sitting was occupied with the second reading debate on the Legislature Amendment Bill (No. •2) moved by Mr Holland, Lender of the Opposition. The Bill aimed at limiting party expenditure at the Parliamentary elections, and 11.30 p.m. its 1 second rending was agreed to. ; The House rose till’ 2.30 p.m. toi morrow.
