The Executive met last night at
Greymouth. R. l’ascoe and T. Lim were re-admit-ted to the Rugy code, the latter subject to filling in Question 10 correctly. Word was received from Golden Bay Union that tlieir represntatives would play at Greymouth on Wednesday, the 31m August, and at Westport on Saturday, 27th August. -Messrs Newman Bros.’ offer to convey the Hokitika reps, of West Coast team to Greymouth on Saturday was accojited. players to arrive not lateitlian 2 p.m. on Saturday. It was resolved to start the Maori match at 2.45 p.m. It was also resolved to ask the .Mayor to extend a welcome to the Maori team at the I own Hall at 8.30 p.m. to-morrow (Thursday) evening on the occasion of the Star Club’s annual ball. The .Maori team are to lie taken lor a visit to Wainihinihi on Sunday next. Fixtures for Saturday are: •Maori All Blacks v. West Coast, at 2.45 p.m. referee, Mr IT. Casey (Westport). ; Juniors.—Ngnknwnu (Westport) v. Stais, 1.15 p.m. (Mr Winchester! referee). Newman Shield (West Coast School Championship)—Westland v Grey Technical Schools (Mr Pass referee) at 1.15 P.m., 1! ground.
ft was resolved to advise the Hokitika Sub-Lnion that it is impossible to alter the date for the junior rep. match owing to the large number of junior fixtures yet to he played. Ihe Star Club was given permission to visit Ilcefton at an earlv date to he arranged.
It was resolved that elides playing m the competition under the jurisdiction of this Union must not play competition fixtures on Sundays.
It was resolved to select the West Coast reps, to play Ashburton, and the junior reps, to play Hokitika, on Saturday night next.
Mi J. Guv was appointed manager for the Most Coast team to play tho Maori All Blacks on Saturday next.
