LEAGUE MATCHES. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 29. Application by the Auckland Rugby League for permission" to invite a South Sydney Club to play a series of matches in Auckland, formed the subjec of a lengthy discussion by the New Zealand Council last night. It was resolved to grant an application, on conditions that southern leagues were acquainted with all particulars to provide an opportunity of inviting South Syd nev to their centres.
