(Australian A: X.Z. Cable Association.) SOVIET DEATHS. (Received this dnv at 11 0 a.in.l BERLIN. July 27. Newspapers I rom Leningrad contain mysterious reports of deaths during tlio last three days of twenty leading Soviet officials. Each death notice included words:—‘‘Died in service ol the* proletariat.” Tt is surmised they were the victims of a counter revolutionary plot. Simultaneously a fresh Soviet campaign of summary executions has begun. Forty-eight occurred in the last, week, according to some accounts and other versions put the number at one hundred.
