(By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) WINE .MAKERS CHARGED. AUCKLAND. July 27. Various charges are preferred against a number of wine manufacturers, and the hearing is expected to last all day. In one case concluded, .Martin Belich White, senior, was fined a total of £22 on three charges, | the chief of which was selling liquor in a no-license district. The other charges are selling in closed hours in less than two gallon quantities and other than his own manufacture.

CHARABANC DESTROYED. EOXTON, July 27. A twenty-eight passenger charabanc owned by Afadgc Bros.. Palmerston North, engaged in a service rim to Eoxton was destroyed by fire at Mouioa. last- night. The lire was caused through buck firing. No passengers were aboard. The parcels and papers were destroyed. ROARIHNG-HOUSE EIRE. CAMBRIDGE, July 27. In the early hours of this morning a large building used as a private hoarding-house at Cambridge was totally destroyed by fire. The building was occupied until last Saturday by .las. H. AV. Smales. who had leased, the building, furnished, to new tenants, hut they had not taken possession. The lire had a (inn hold when discovered and nothing was: saved, though the brigade saved the outbuildings. Furniture and effects are insured for C 125 in Norwich Union. The insurance on the building is not. available.
