At Winnipeg, wheat closed 1;J to 21 cents above yesterday’s levels following on sensational reports of continued oppressive beat, which has aggravated the spreading rust menace for several months, and finished at only a fraction .below the day’s highest levels.
U.S. AIR POLICY. (Received this day at 10.15 a.nt.) NEW YORK, June 20. President Coolitlge intends to pursue a policy to encourage every city and town in the United States to establish its own airport. The President has issued an order to commence a Department of Aviation Board to assist in the promotion in every possible way of the creation of suitable commercial landing fields. He holds tlio view that the Federal Oovernment cannot appropriate funds for such fields, but will leave their establishment to localities, while the Federal Government devotes itself to the general promotion of aviation. Yfr Coolidgo who is at Rapid City, expressed regret that he was unable to attend tilie ceremonies anaugurating the international peace bridge at Buffalo, to meet the Prince of Wales and Mr Baldwin. Tt is not expected that the latter will visit the President'.
