Messrs M. Houston and Co report:— At the usual fortnigliti'y sale at the above yards yesterday our entry consisted of 27 fat cattle and 22 fat sheep which were submitted to a good attendance of buyers. Prices for prime oxbeef showed an advance on previous sales and realized up to 42s per lmii 7 died, whilst good heifer and cow beef also sold well.
We sold as followsOn account of F. G. Williams and Sons 22 prime wethers 'at 365. On account of W. Diedrichs, 2 bullocks at £ls 2s 6d, 2 at £l2 2s (id, 1 at £l3 2s 6d, 1 at £l2, 1 at £l4 17s (id, 1 at £l2 17 fid, lat £l4, 2 at £1 ss, 2 at £lO 17s 6d. 2 at £lO 10s, 2 at £ll 17s Od. 1 at £lO 15s, 2 at £l2 17s (id, 1 at £lO 12s (id. On account of J. Monk, 1 cow and 1 heifer at CG 7s (id ; 2 cows at £4. 1 heifer at Co. 1 cow at £3 12s Od.
