Fleming, who presided, expressed the general regret felt at th‘ approaching departure of Air and Mrs Alorel and family, and asked acceptance on hehaiV of the residents of two divan chairs and a travelling nig. Messrs T. O’Neil and R. Moharry supported the remarks of the Chairman, Mr !.. 11. Morel and his son Basil suitably replying. The occasion was also taken to present to the Lower Kokatalii school the shield won at the Koitcrangi picnic. This was done by Mr M.rOullum. on behalf of the picnic committee, and Mr J. Afonk accepted the trophy on behalf of the school team. .Supper was served and dancing was kept up till after 2.J0 o’clock, tlie gathering being voted a very jolly and enjoyable one.
