NOTICES OF MOTION,

1. The Chairman to move-" That the accounts for the month of June, J. 927, as revised and recommended for payment by the Finance Committee, amounting to £— . he passed lor payment.”

-• The Chairman to move:—“That the ( ouncil make and levy pursuant to the provisions of Sections -IK-55 of the Rating Act. 1908, and its amendments, and sections 120-121 of the Counties’ Act 1920, a General Rate as follows:—fa)—Six farthings in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Northern Riding of the County of Westi’and.

(h) —Six Earthings in the £ on tho capital value of all rateable property in the Central Riding of Die County of Westland. (e) —Six farthings in the £ an the capital value of all rateable property in the Southern Riding of the County of Westland.

Such general rate to he for the period commenced on the Ist day of April, 11127, and ending on Lhe .'list day of .March, 1928, and to become due and payable in one sum on the 19th day of July, 1927. at the ofliee of the Westland County Council, Hokitika.” 3. Tho Chairman to move:—“That tho Council make and levy pursuant to the provisions of sections 48-55 of the Rating Act, 1908, and its amendments and the provision of the Local Hedies’ Loans Act. 1913, and its amendments, special rates as follows:—fa) —A special rate of one penny and live-fourteenths of a pemiv in the £ (annually recurring) for the special Inter-Wanganui Rating District, affecting the loan of £750 for Relersen’s Road Extension. fh'i A special rate of one penny and seventeen-tweiity-tirsts of a penny in the £ (anntiai'ly recurring) for the special Inter-Wanganui Rating District, affecting the loan of £l5O for Petersen’s Road Further Extension. (e) —A special rate of six-seventeenths of a penny in the £ (annually recurring) for the special Inter-Wanganui Rating District:, affecting the loan of £lO5 for La Fontaine creel; clearing. 01)—A special rate of six-thirtv-seconds of a penny in the £ (annually recurring) for the special Southern Rating District affecting the loan of £1.500 for Kakapotahi Bridge erection.
