At a meeting of the AYairarapa TJugby Union, the Management Committee to-night decided to request the New Zealand Union to take up the matter of AA". Barclay's residential <|uali(icatinn in Hawke’s Bay prior to his participation in last Snturdy’s Ranfurly Shield match. Tu view of the fact that Barclay did not leave Auckland for Napier before .Tune 23rd, and had not: played in Hawke’s Bay this, season prior to the match against AAairarapa. AATiirnrapa felt justified in asking the No Zealand Union to investigate Barclay’s bona Sides. Tt was reported that the takings at •the recent Ranfurly Shield match were £11.35. There were 10.500 people who paid for admission and with coniplimentaries and juveniles who were admitted free, it. is estimated that over .twelve thousand were present.
