AMUSEMENTS.

E VERYBODYS’ PICTURES “HER DIG NIGHT” TO-NIGHT. "Her Big Night" nil of that. It is probably the biggest night in anybodies career, and the picturization of it. which is now gracing the screen at the Princess Theatre, is one of the most diverting iiglji comedy prodiiclions of the year. Laura La Plante wins fresh laurels as the star of this picture. It is her first actual starring role, and she amply 'justifies the judgment of the Universal Picture Corporation in having selected her for stardom. Despite the presence in the east of almost a dozen experience! and talented troupers .A I iss La Plante i.s never in danger of l>eing overshadowed no matter how riotous the fun of the picture becomes. Her charming personality, and her inherent sense of comedy make her a star of very great ningiiiture. "Her Dig Night” is plainly and frankly farce comedy, nothing else. ft. starts with a very realistic, and therefore very funny, bargain-counters rush in a department store, contains frantic press agents, frying to find lost movie stars inquisitive reporters, trying to run down scandal stories about cinema cole brities, jealous husbands and wives attempting to find their respective mates and safeguard them from sinne/s ami homo-wreckers. Einar Hausen, the European star plays the leading masculine role, with a large supporting east which includes Tully Marshall. John Uoche, Lee Moran. .Mack Swain Zitsu Pitts, Nat Carr. William Austin. Cissy Fitzgerald and others. A great deal of the credit for the making of this excellent picture must go to Melville Brown, u ho directed it, and adapted it from l’eggv Gaddis’ story. “Doubling For Daphne,” as well. The supports will he a topical, comedy, and “ Ace of Spades ” (serial). On Saturday: “Let’s Get .Married.”
