Asked if the Board of Trade was aware that Norman Shaw, the lighthouse keeper at Argyll, was dismissed on account of bis refusal to accept wireless instructions on Sundays, tbe President replied that the authority in question was the Clyde Lighthouse Trustees, an independent body. Shaw refused to replace the chief lighthouse keeper when he broke down, in testing wireless on Sunday, whereupon he was dismissed. *
The Scottish Soficitor-Gcncral announced the Ministry of Agriculture and Scottish Board of Agriculture will expertly investigate Vomuoff's claim that he can increase the sige of sheep and the value of wool by means of gland operations.
