WEDDING BELLS

A wedding of considerable interest was celebrated at Hnriiiari on .Monday evening, the contracting parties lieing Air .John Adamson, second son of Air J. Adamson, of Hariliari, and Aliss A’cra Berry, eldest daughter of Air and Airs William Berry, also of Hariliari.

The marriage took place at the residence of the bride's parents and the Rev. J. AY. Hayward, of Hokitika, officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father wore a frock of hois tie rose repp, with fawn hut and shoes and stockings to match, and carried a shower bouquet of chrysanthemums and roses with ribbon streamers. The bridesmaids were the Alisses Sylvia and May Berry, sisters of the bride. Aliss Sylvia Berry wore a dress of saxc blue repp, with hat to match, and Aliss Alay Berry’s dress was of bistra rep. They both carried beautiful posies with ribbon streamers. Mr James Adamson. brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man and Mr Seddon Adamson us groomsman. At the wedding breakfast the following toast list was honoured:—"The King." " Bride and Bridgegrooni,” (Rev. J. AA\ Hayward). "Bridesmaids’’ (Afr J. Adamson), " Parents of the Bride and Bridegroom ’” (Air ti. Adamson), “The officiating Minister” (Airs AA’al'O. Air AV. Berry (father of the bride) and Air J. Adamson (father of the bridegroom) fittingly responded and expressed best wishes for the happy pair.

A large number of telegrams werq received and there were many useful and beautiful presents, among them being some handsome cheques. The evening was spent in social enjoyment and the hours sped rapidly. Songs new arid old were sung, and the choruses were joined in heartily hv alt present. The young couple left amid showers of the bride travelling in a navy blue tailored coat with fox fur. Air and Mrs Adamson left this morning -for Christchurch where the honeymoon will he spent.
