Germany's campaign for a seat mi the Mandates Commission has sm'cc-
cil to the extent that the Commission to-dav decided not to raise any objection to a German member. It is understood that a minority acquiesced but did not vote owing to political implications involved,
France. Belgium and Holland have voted against increased membership on the Mandates’ Commission.
