ACCTvLAXD. July 3. “It- is gratifying to lie able to say that trade between Canada and New Zealand has shown a. substantial increase during the past four years.’’ said Mr C. M. Croft. Canadian Trade Commissioner, who is leaving by the Aorangi on Tuesday on a six months’ trip to Canada. Imports from Canada during 1926 were nearly 17 per cent greater than in 1923. whereas exports from New Zealand to Canada were nearly 30 per cent greater. Each Dominion had extended the British preferential tariff to products of the other, which might at once be taken as a mutual desire for inter-Empire trade.
