In the Commons replying to Mr Samlon, who asked the position of immigration in Victoria, lion. Amcry said he understood that the Victorian land settlement scheme was suspended but nominated persons, men witli farm experience and women for household service were accepted as hitherto. The 1921 agreement was between Croat Rritain and the Commonwealth and it was impossibi'e to say how far this might be affected by the change of policy in Victoria.
