AN APPRECIATION.
(To the Editor.) Sir—As a. visitor to Hokitika and a resident of forty years ago. 1 was present at the tire which took place early this morning and should like to express my pleasure in seeing the Hokitika Volunteer Fire Brigade in action. 1 consider theirs a great performance, in fighting what might have been the most disastrous fire m Hokitika, hut for their prompt work.
