The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Local Authorities Empowering Extension Bill was put through all stages and passed unamended. Imprest Supply Bill was received from the House and passed, after some discussion and explanation. Ihe debate on the Address-in-Heply was resumed by Sir 0. Sinclair and Hon. H. L. Michel, and was adjourned on the motion of the Hon. Eamshaw till 2.30 to-morrow. The Council' rose at 1..Y2 p.m. THE HOUSE. The House met at 2.30 p.m. Formal business was transacted and the Begulation of Advertisements Bill ! Alt' E. P. Lee) was introduced and read a first time, the second reading being set down for 28th July. | The House adjourned at 2.U p.m. till 7.30 p.m. when the Address-in-! Kopiy debate began. A motion that a respectful address be presented to His Excellency in reply to his speech, was moved by Air J. .Mason (Napier) and seconded by Afr Adam Hamilton (Wallace) and on the motion of the Leader of the Opposition was adjourned till 2.30 to-morrow. The House rose at 9.30 p.m.
