NEW ZEALAND TEAM AT HOME. VERSUS SCOTTISH COUNTIES. (Australian A N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, June 28. The New Zealanders began a match at Dundee to-day against a side rep-* resenting Scottish Counties. The attendance was small, only about three hundred. Winning the toss New Zealand went in and though Reman was disposed of at once. Oliver and Dempster mastered the bowling and gave the visitors the upperliand. At the tea adjournment the score was 2 for 168, Dempster then being 82. lie went on and had reached 151 and quite outshone his later confreres, whose play, with the exception of Mills was only moderate. Dempster hit freely all round the wicket and bad one six and sixteen fours in bis total. The Comities bad a few minutes’ halting and lost one wicket cheaply. NEW ZEALAND.-First Innings.
