YOUTH’S THEFT

Alexander Boag, a. youth, pleaded guilty to breaking into a. butcher’s shop at Sydenham and stealing £2l 6s id. He was committed for sentence. Evidence showed that accused had cut through a zinc door at the hack of the shop. He said he was destitute at the time.

Two rabhitcr.s in Rotorangi district. Kenneth David Murray and Charles Leonard Buist, were brought before a Justice this morvag charged with the theft of an overcoat valued at £1 13s. the property of Richard Lome. The police stated that while evening service at St. John's Church was proceeding on Sunday, several hats and coats of worshippers were removed from the porch. They were located at the rnbbiters’ camp, and there some traps stolen from n farm some weeks ago were also found. Constable Doyle applied for a week’s remand for further investigation. This was granted. Another member of the gang was arrested yesterday hv Cmstnble Cleary of Cambridge, while actually wearing one of the missing hats. At Cambridge Court this morning he admitted receiving the stolen property.
