DISARMAMENT CONFERENCE

(Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.) WASHINGTON, Juno 27. Mr Kellogg instructed Americans at Geneva to refuse to discuss capital ships, since these have already been disposed of by the Washington Treaty. It is said the latter can only possibly be modified by the live signatory Powers, including France and Italy, and that a Revision Conference for capital ships is scheduled for 1932, under the Treaty; also that President Coolidge limited the Geneva Conference to a discussion on auxiliary craft, cruisers, destroyers and submarines. It is understood that Mr Gibson maintains the American five-five-three plan.
