ACCIU’ED VTAIi PENSION'. CHHISTCHI'HCH, June 2-1. Application was made by the Official Assignee to-day to Mr Justice Adams tor a ruling on the question ol whether the accrued pension of a deceased ex-soldier could be used to pay his debts. The case concerned the bankrupt estate of fleorge Lyndon Robinson, deceased, AVainiate, who spout some time in hospital. During that period bis war pension accrued to the extent of £2BO. Upon his death, he left a large number of debts, but no dependents. His Honour held that the Official Assignee had no claim on the accrued pension, on account of the protection of the Statute.
