After passing resolutions in regard to the deaths of Sir James Carroll and I foil. Guthrie tributes to w hom were paid by several Councillors, the Council adjourned at 3.30 p.in. until Tuesday afternoon. THE HOUSE. The House met at 2.30* p.in. The following bills were introduced and read a first time—Gaining Amendment Bill (Sir G. Hunter), Summer Time Bill (Air Sidey), Divorce and .Matrimonial Causes Act Amendment Bill (Air AA’ilford), Judicial Proceedings Regulation of Reports Bill (Air Eraser). -Motor Omnibus Traffic Bill Air AA’ilford). The usual motions of condolence were moved in connection with tho deaths of the following former members ol the House—Hon. G. 11. Guthrie, Sir James Carroll. Sir Arthur Alyers. F. Pirani, H. 11. Fisk. E. Witty and C. Cowan, 'flip motions were seconded by the Loader of the Opposition and supported by several other speakers. As a tribute to the memory of the deceased gentlemen, the House rose at 4.32 tii’l 2.30 on Tuesday, when Unemployed and Imprest Supply Bills will be gone on with.
