wheat Prospects. (Received this day at 9.0 a mA NEW YORK, June 20. Winds of tornado intensity and heavy rains have swollen streams, destroying many acres of wheat in south-east Kansas. The damage is expected to exceed fifty thousand dollars. leaders on Chicago grain exchange state American farmers may expect high prices for wheat this year, with exporting countries unable to meet the demand. Constant rains, floods and a cold spring have retarded planting and cultivating and unless perfect weather is experienced from now until after threshing, it is feared farmers will have very little crops for the market. While farmers in certain territories may profit from higher prices, it is doubtful whether the industry on the ...whole will be benefited. GUN RUNNING PLOT. VANCOUVER, Juno 21. At Los Angeles, six men whose names were undivulged, were arrested for alleged complicity in a three million dollar gun running plot.
