SYDNEY. June IC. The semi-finals in the New South Wales (1 olf Championship were held in showery weather. Both matches were keenly contested. Apperly and Whitton were all square at tlie conolnsion of the morning round, and in this afternoon Whitten was two up. with six to play. Apfierlv then made a great effort and squared the match at the fifteenth hole, and he oventtiallv won by one up. •Smith was one up on Bussell after the first eighteen holes, and though Russell twice squared the match, the younger player hung grimly to Iris t: r: d wen hv om» up.
