< R,v Telegraph—Per Press Association.) GISBORNE. June Kb The Harbour Board discussion on the report submitted to Mr.AY. Furkert, enginecr-in-chief, upon the best means of providing harbour facilities for Gisborne, with the motley now inhand front the harbour loan, resulted in the Board finnllv adopting the report and resolving to consider steps to put recommendations into effect. A Ixmibshell was dropped by the Board’s engineer. R. Campbell, in the course of the discussion. when he stated that the Board was suffering from an old complaint of too many ojiiiiioii-s. The Board had reached the stage where no course was left to him hut to resign. This step he was asked to reconsider by a majority ol the Board, five members onlv giving their support to his suggestion, and that as Campbell had taken his decision the Board should not endeavour to jie'rsuade him in the other course.
