The “Daily Telegraph” says:—Tlie Republicans, despite the fact that they fought elections against the Oath, should decide to take it on the pretext that that is the best way to get rid of it, a difficult situation will be created, as President Cosgrave would be then driven to seek an effective Coalition. It is hoped, therefore, for the sake of Free State peace, that the Republicans will continue in a state of desperate intransigence, and by still refusing to enter the Dail Eircann make it easier for President Cosgrave to pursue his courageous task.

DE VALERA’S PARTY. LONDON, June 15.. Mr Do Valera states that the Republicans will claim their seats. Tlie people, he said, would not tolerate their being barred from Parliament by the imposition of the penal oath. LONDON, June 14. The “Times” states:—Tlie Irish Free State Ministers, while they are disappointed with the result of tlie elections, will face the situation without alarm. Undoubtedly the new Dail Eireann will meet according to plan on the 23rd of June, and arrangements are being made for ensuring a safe constitutional majority for President Cosgrave’s Government.
