The “ Morning Herald ” referring to the mechanical hare coursing says: "Many dogs are developing great cunning in cutting corners cleverly, and the rnc-e is not always to the fastest.” It cites a ease where a leading dog was following the course of the hare and two other dogs cut a corner and heat him, and adds: “ Under the rules of coursing, neither dog coukl have scored a point for this cleverness.”
