SYDNEY, June 13. The action of the English Rugby League in breaking an agreement relating to residential qualifications of Australian and New Zcaand players is strongly resented in New South AYales Rugby League. The delegates meet at the coming week-end and probably tlio matter will be discussed and some action taken to counteract the English intentions. It is stated that already an agent of Huddersfield Club lias secured one New South AYales player and several others, both in New South AYales and Queensland, have been approached.
SYDNEY. June 14. A meeting of the New South Wales Rugby League considered tho breaking of the residential qualificaton by the English League and decided to got into touch with the League in Queensland and New Zealand with a view to arriving at a common complaint which would he forwarded to the English League as soon as possible in order to prevent further action by agents of English clubs with the object of securing Australian players. It was further decided that tlic English League bo requested to defer lifting the bar until the .English team was in Australia next season, when it was hoped a conference between the manager of the team and representatives of New South Wales and New Zealand would be able to reach a satisfactory agreement.

AUCKLAND, June 14. \ Fijian Rugby football team v. ill visit Auckland during August, returning the visit the Auckland I niversuv footballers had to Fiji last season. The touring team will he mostly composed of Australian and New Zealand players resident in the islands. The team will play at Auckland, Hamilton, and Rotorua.

AIoCormack (Otago). The team assembles at Dunedin on the Tuesday before the match. Special arrangements have been made for practice. H. R. Graves will bo the manager.

Baxter (Auckland) was first selected as half-hack in ihc Now Zealand team, hut, not being available, Tinkler was selected ill his place. All members of the team will assemble at Dunedin on the Tuesday before the match, which is on Juno 29th. and special arrangements have been made for practice. Afr H. I. Graves, Treasurer of New Zealand Football Association, will manage the New Zealand team.
OFFERS TO LEAGUE PLAYERS. SYDNEY, June 14. •It is reported that a member of the University League football team has received ail offer ol £IOOO sterling and a handsome weekly salary to sign on with Leeds Club, and several others have been nporonched on behalf of other English Clubs, some of whom rejected the offers, while others are still considering the position. A warning is uttered that tho Rugby Union is no less affected by the English residential qualifications decision Hum Hie League and that there is a likelihood that efforts will he made to secure the best players among the team about to visit England, for English clubs.
